Event Information

The 2012 Ektelon Nationals presented by Penn will combine the largest singles amateur event with the Men’s IRT Pro Nationals and the Women’s WPRO for a spectacular tournament. On top of a full week’s worth of play in the largest event in racquetball, players also enjoy special activities all week long. Party the nights away with your favorite pros and racquetball fans. View the stunning "made-for-TV" stadium racquetball court as you watch the best players in the world compete. Over 600 players are expected and will compete for the right to be named "National Champion" in 70+ divisions separated by age, skill, and age-skill. As an added bonus, USA Racquetball has combined efforts with Ektelon, the IRT, the WPRO and ProPenn to bring the Men's IRT Pro Nationals and Women's WPRO to compete on the stadium racquetball court. The same court used at the US OPEN for Grand Slam events that the best players in the world compete on. In addition, the Men's and Women's National Team Qualifier Divisions will also be played with earn one year appointments to the U.S. National Team up for grabs.

Board Election Results

The USA Racquetball Board of Directors has released the results of its annual election. Two candidates earned three-year terms via general election by the membership. They are: Frank Taddonio of Gilbert, Arizona, who returns to Board service having served for several years over the last decade, and Don Schopieray of Swartz Creek, Michigan, who joins the Board for the first time. Congratulations to Beaverton High School (Beaverton, Ore.) who captured the overall team title at the 2012 U.S.A. Racquetball [USAR] National High School Championships presented by Penn Racquet Sports.
