Zane Braggs Racquetball Player All American Wrestler Hall of Fame Inductee |
Zane Braggs (Houston, TX) was recently inducted into the Wartburg Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements as a top college wrestler.
Braggs, a two-time Iowa Conference wrestling champion and two-time NCAA Division III All-American joined seven new members during a Homecoming cermony. He also claimed the 1994 national championship while attending Wartburg College (Waverly, Iowa).
"Wrestling is not just a sport, wrestling is a discipline. I use the mental strength used in wrestling in my daily life, my job, and all aspects of my life," said Braggs. "My biggest influences for me have been my father (William) and mother (Mary). Their morals and life lessons they taught me growing up made me the man I am today."
Zane plays racquetball several times per week at the LA Fitness Cypress and also in leagues and tournaments. He is sponsored by Pro Kennex and works for the Texas Highway Patrol.
