The 2008 All Military National Racquetball Championships were held at the Naval Base San Diego Racquetball Courts and American Athletic Club in San Diego, CA as all branches from the armed services competed for national military championships in singles and doubles. The highlight of the event was the portable outdoor racquetball court that was on display aboard the flight deck of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Free clinics and exhibitions were performed from top IRT, WPRO and CPRT players such as Jason Mannino, Alvaro Beltran, Rocky Carson, Chris Crowther, Rhonda Rajsich, Angela Grisar, Brett Harnett, Greg Solis, Craig Lane and Jimmy Lowe. The sailors aboard the ship played singles and doubles with the pro's in front of a large crowd of onlookers and crew members.
MRF representatives Darryl Warren and Hank Marcus coordinated the historic event with Peggine Tellez and LCDR Steven Harper with help from local volunteers and all the racquet manufacturers featuring Racquetball Warehouse, E-Force, Ektelon, Gearbox, Head, Pro Kennex and Wilson. Chuck West and Gimel Properties were largely responsible for the court construction and set-up. The CPRT, NMRA and WOR were also supporters of the event.
